Overnight Weekend Closure of Westbrook Train Station Parking Lot, March 2-3, 2013

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the setting of the steel pedestrian bridge at the Westbrook Shore Line East station is scheduled to be done overnight, Saturday & Sunday, March 2 & 3, 2013, necessitating the closing of the station's parking lot during those hours. Train service will be unaffected. Rain date is Sunday & Monday, March 3-4, 2013.

GOV. MALLOY: TRAVEL BAN IMPOSED IN CONNECTICUT

Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that a ban on motor vehicle travel on limited access highways in the State of Connecticut began at 4 pm on Friday, February 8, 2013. These prohibitions do not extend to emergency response and recovery vehicles, including public safety vehicles, utility vehicles, and vehicles carrying essential personnel or supplies.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy will declare a state of emergency in preparation for the coming blizzard which is anticipated to heavily impact the state Friday and Saturday. In addition, the Governor announced that limited access highways may be subject to closure as early as noon. The Governor is asking all residents to limit nonessential travel.
