Web Version     Connecticut Department of Transportation Railroad Crossing Repairs on East Main Street in Plainville Posted on August 29 , 2019 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that railroad crossing repairs will be performed on the Route 372 (East Main Street) crossing in Plainville, overnight Sunday-Monday,       September 8-9, 2019.   The railroad crossing repairs will be performed on Route 372 (East Main Street) at Pine Street in Plainville, which will require the road to be closed.  The upgrade includes replacement of the crossing riding surface.   This work is being performed by Pan Am Railroad in cooperation with the Department of Transportation.   LANE CLOSURE INFO Route 372 eastbound motorists will be detoured east onto Pine Street, north onto Route 10 (East Street) back to Route 372.  Route 372 westbound motorists will be detoured south onto Route 10 (East Street), west onto Pine Street back to Route 372.  Traffic control personnel, police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.   *The detour is scheduled to be in place from 12:01 midnight Sunday, September 8, 2019 to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2019, unless the work is completed sooner. *   Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. Web Version     Connecticut Department of Transportation Pedestrian Upgrades along East Street in New Britain Posted on August 29 , 2019 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that pedestrian upgrades will be performed on Route 174 (East Street) in New Britain, Tuesday, September 10, through Friday, September 13, 2019.    The pedestrian upgrades consist of updating ADA ramps, crosswalk buttons, and pavement markings on Route 174 at the intersections of Newington Avenue and East Main Street in New Britain.   LANE CLOSURE INFO Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures to occur on Route 174 (East St.) at the intersections of Newington Avenue and East Main Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Web Version     Connecticut Department of Transportation Nighttime Bridge Maintenance along I-95 in Milford Posted on August 29 , 2019 The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 North and South in Milford, Wednesday, September 11, through Friday, October 11, 2019.   The project consists of concrete deck end repairs and asphaltic plug joint installation on the I-95 North and South Bridge #00137 (Metro-North overpass) in Milford.   The work is included in the Department of Transportation's 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs being performed by Hammonasset Construction and Dynamic Surface Applications, LTD.   LANE CLOSURE INFO Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 33 (Ferry Blvd.) and Exit 36 (Plains Rd.) in Milford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
