The State Department of Transportation is announcing that tree maintenance in Thomaston will require lane closures on Route 8 Northbound between Exit 40 (Route 222/North Main Street) and Exit 41 (Campville Road). In addition, the Route 8 northbound on ramp from Route 222 will be closed beginning Monday, January 9, 2012.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a Public Information Meeting concerning the replacement of Bridge No. 02190, which carries Route 17 over Long Hill Brook in the City of Middletown.
