The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing "CL&P" will be unloading timber mats on I-84 to position a crane in the median for cable pulling operation, on Friday, February 7, 2014. The area involved is I-84 Middlebury, Eastbound, high speed (left lane) between Exits 16 and 17, located just west of the bridges for Route 188.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of a major bridge replacement project on Interstate 95 over the West River between Interchange 44 and 45, Kimberly Avenue and Ella T. Grasso Boulevard (Route 10) in the towns of New Haven and West Haven. The work is scheduled to start on Monday, February 17, 2014, and will be done at night.

Governor Announces Power Upgrade to Begin Monday; Meeting with Incoming Metro-North President Set for Feb. 13
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) will undertake a $10 million project to upgrade the power supply for Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line beginning on Monday, February 3. The project will prevent the type of catastrophic power failure that occurred this past fall in Mount Vernon, New York, seriously disrupting service on the New Haven Line.
