Nighttime Resurfacing Project on Interstate 95 in Milford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on a .04-mile segment of Interstate 95 northbound and southbound in Milford, Tuesday, May 26, to Thursday, May 28, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 38 (SR 796, Daniel S. Wasson Connector) and Exit 41 (Marsh Hill Road).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

Nighttime Resurfacing on Route 99 in Wethersfield - Detour Required

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 99 from Oxford Street to the Hartford town line beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020. A detour will be required.

 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.58-mile segment of Route 99. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 to Friday, May 29, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 to Friday, June 5, 2020.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 99 from Oxford Street to the Hartford Townline (Including Ramps). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).

 

       DETOUR INFORMATION

  • Route 15 Northbound ramp traffic will be detoured North along Route 15 to Exit 87. Motorists will turn left onto Brainard Road, left onto Airport Road and left onto Route 15 South, heading back South to Route 99.
  • Route 15 Southbound ramp traffic will be detoured South along Route 15 towards the Berlin Turnpike. Motorists will continue South on the Berlin Turnpike making a U-turn at Pawtucket Avenue onto the Berlin Turnpike Northbound, taking a right onto Jordan Lane, arriving back at Route 99.
  • Route 99 Northbound traffic to Route 15 Northbound will be detoured along Route 99 North, taking a right onto Airport Road, a right onto Brainard Road, and a right to continuing to Route 15 Northbound.
  • Route 99 Southbound traffic to Route 15 Southbound will be detoured along Route 99, taking a right onto Jordan Lane, and a left onto the Berlin Turnpike heading South.

Resurfacing Project along Route 12 in Lisbon Griswold and Plainfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 12 in Lisbon, Griswold and Plainfield, beginning Monday, May 18, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 6.74 mile segment of Route 12 in Lisbon, Griswold and Plainfield.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2020, through Monday, June 22, 2020.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, June 22, 2020, through Friday, July 10, 2020.  No work will be performed on May 22, 25 and 26, 2020, due to the Memorial Day holiday and July 2nd and 3rd, 2020, due to the July 4th holiday.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 12 from the northbound access to I-395 in Lisbon through Griswold to the Mill Brook overpass in Plainfield.  Two (2) policemen, one (1) traffic controller, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m.  to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Nighttime Resurfacing on Route 70 in Cheshire

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 70 from the East Junction of Waterbury Road to Mountain Road, Sunday, May 17, through Friday, June 5, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.90-mile segment of Route 70 from the East Junction of Waterbury Road to Mountain Road. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Sunday, May 17, 2020 to Wednesday, May 20, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 to Friday, June 5, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Resurfacing along Route 533 in Bolton and Vernon

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 533 in Bolton and Vernon beginning Monday, May 11, 2020. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.09 mile segment of Route 533 from .03 miles north of Box Mountain Road to Grady Road in Bolton and Vernon. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Monday, May 11, to Tuesday, May 12. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, May 13, to Friday, May 15, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

he Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Manchester and East Hartford beginning Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.17 mile segment of US 44 from Mary Street (one-way southbound) to the access to westbound I-84 (302a) in Manchester and East Hartford. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 to Monday, May 18, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Monday, May 18, 2020 to Friday, May 22, 2020.
