The Connecticut Department of Transportation is developing plans to improve a section of Route 220 in the Town of Enfield. The project involves the milling and placement of a two-inch Hot Mix Asphalt overlay on a section of Route 220 approximately between Polomba Drive and Peerless Way, to extend the service life of the existing pavement.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has rescheduled a public hearing in New London to receive comments on proposed rail fare increases. Originally scheduled for august 31, the hearing has been postponed until September 7, 2011.
