Lanes Closures for Bridge Safety Inspections, June 30 and July 2.
Lane closures for bridge safety inspections will be necessary on June 30 and July 2, 2012. Unless there is an emergency, there will be no further bridge inspection lane closures until the week of July 9, 2012, because of the July 4th holiday.

Route 1 in Branford to be Closed in Both Directions Between I-95 South ramps (Branford Connector) and Route 142 (Short Beach Road) Beginning 9 p.m. Saturday, July 14, until 12 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that U.S. Route 1 in Branford is scheduled to be closed to traffic to facilitate the installation of a new Box Culvert just north of the Amtrak Railroad Bridge. There will be no access to north or south along Route 1 between the I-95 on and off ramps at Exit 53, referred to as the Branford Connector, and Route 142 (Short Beach Road). The closure is currently scheduled for 9 p.m. Saturday, July 14, until 12-noon on Sunday, July 15, 2012.
