The Department of Transportation's TRAC (Transportation and Civil Engineering) program is partnering with Central Connecticut State University to host a 1 week program from July 28 to August 1, 2014, to introduce a wide range of transportation modes to high school students from all over the state.

Bridge Deck Joint Inspection along Route 8 and I-95

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that inspections will be performed on the bridge joints on I-95 northbound in Guilford, I-95 southbound in Stamford and Greenwich and on Route 8 southbound in Shelton and Trumbull. These inspections will require daytime lane closures on Tuesday, July 29, and Wednesday July 30, 2014.

Nighttime Closure of I-95 Northbound Exit 44 Off Ramp on July 29, 2014

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the I-95 Northbound Exit 44 off ramp to Kimberly Avenue will be closed on Tuesday night, July 29, 2014, from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning for the emergency replacement of existing asphaltic plug joints on the bridge over the West River in the towns of New Haven and West Haven.

Updated Scheduled For 24-Hour Weekend Closures on Route 130 (Fairfield Avenue) in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the closure schedule for Route 130, Fairfield Avenue, from Commerce Drive to Railroad Avenue eastbound has been revised. The current schedule is to close Route 130 on the weekend of August 1-3 and August 8-11, 2014.

Route 111 North of Cross Hill Road and Route 111 South of Route 110 in the town of Monroe will be closed starting on Monday August 11, 2014 through Wednesday August 20 , 2014

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the 10 day closure of Route 111 between Cross Hill Road and Route 110. The closure is needed to remove the existing structure, installation and backfill of a new precast concrete box culvert, precast wingwalls, construction of the cast-in-place parapets and reconstruct a portion of Route 111.

Bridge Maintenance, Route 16 over the Salmon River in East Hampton

The project consists of the installation of beam rail across Bridge # 00853 on Route 16 over the Salmon River in East Hampton. Also included will be the approach rail to account for the realignment of the bridge attachments. This project is scheduled to occur from Monday, July 28, 2014 to Friday, August 1, 2014.
