The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled one-night closure and detour of Route 14 over Merrick Brook in Scotland on June 15, 2020, to facilitate ongoing bridge construction activities. The closure will begin at 7 PM on June 15, 2020 and end at 5 AM on June 16, 2020.
A 14.7 -mile signed detour will be in place during the closure.
A second, consecutive nighttime closure may be utilized if needed.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 southbound in Fairfield – Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 19, 2020. This is bridge No. 88, carrying I-95 over Route 1.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 bridge maintenance program, the work will be performed by Hammonasset Construction LLC.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Southbound between Exit 22 and Exit 24 in Fairfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00pm (Monday – Friday, days, no weekends).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
