Ridership on the New Haven commuter rail line reached record highs in 2014, with some 39.6 million passenger trips – a 1.6 percent increase over 2013 – according to numbers released today by the Connecticut Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, parent of Metro-North, the operator of the New Haven Line.

Road Work - Route 4 Farmington from Garden Street to Mountain Spring Road
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the Town of Farmington is conducting a Sewer replacement project for a section of sanitary sewer main along Farmington Avenue (Route 4) that will begin just west of Garden Street and will end at Mountain Spring Road. The project is under way and is anticipated to be complete in January 2016.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to the I-84 reconstruction in Waterbury requires the closure of Plank Road from Harpers Ferry Road to White Oak Lane for approximately 18 months. The road is scheduled to be closed on April 27, 2015 through October 2016. There will be no vehicular access to Brookdale Lane from Plank Road; access will be maintained from East Main Street. Vehicular and pedestrian access to residences within the closed section of Plank Road will be maintained.
