The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 72 southbound in New Britain on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The project consists of overhead repairs on Bridge #4247 (High St. underpass), from Exit 8 to Exit 9 in New Britain.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorist can expect a left lane closure on Rte.72 South from Exit 8 to Exit 9 in New Britain.
Traffic control personnel, state police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
