The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is announcing that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded the state $8.36 million -- $5 million for voluntary home acquisitions for residents of Middlebury living near Waterbury-Oxford Airport, and $3.36 million for sound insulation for homes near Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.
