The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project
will be performed on multiple bridges along Route 8 southbound in Bridgeport, Monday, October 7, through Friday, November 22, 2019.
The work is included in the Department of Transportation's 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Application and Mohawk Northeast Inc.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. (Monday through Thursday evenings). Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
