CTDOT eAlert: Construction and Maintenance News from the Connecticut DOT
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge deck repairs will occur on I-84 westbound in Newtown, beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
The project consists of repairs on I-84 westbound Bridge 4180 (Housatonic River overpass), between Exits 14 and 11 in Newtown. The project is scheduled to occur on the evening of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 to the morning of Thursday, March 19, 2020.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect the right lane to be closed between Exits 14 and 11 on I-84 WB in Newtown. Traffic control signing patterns and crash units will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday- Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
