CTDOT eAlert: Construction and Maintenance News from the Connecticut DOT
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed onI-95 Northbound and Southbound in New London, beginning Monday,
March 16, 2020.
The project consists of haunch removal to Bridges #02611, #02612 and #02833 (Rt. 32 underpasss) on I-95 in New London.This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, March 16, 2020through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction, LLC.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exits 85 and 83 in New London. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday evening through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
