CTDOT OFFERS TELEWORKING BEST PRACTICES RESOURCES

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will host a webinar for Connecticut residents who are now teleworking as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar, titled "Best Teleworking Practices – The Road to Success for Employees", will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 from 12 noon to 1pm. This is one in a series of telework webinars, most of which are focused on employers.

For many employees, teleworking is not only new, but also presents some challenges. The webinar will focus on best practices that will allow teleworkers to succeed in their new work arrangement. Topics will include setting up a productive home work environment, goal-setting, how to provide feedback and updates to managers, how to establish work/life balance, how to deal with distractions, and more.

Connecticut residents who are interested in this webinar are required to register online at www.ctrides.com. CTrides is a program of the CTDOT and is a comprehensive resource for commuters to find better commutes than driving alone. CTDOT has also been supporting Connecticut employers with free teleworking consultation since the mid-1990's. The webinar will feature telework program specialists with over thirty years in the field and are experienced in rapid deployment of emergency and short-term business continuity solutions.

The webinar will also be recorded and available for viewing at a later date on www.ctrides.com
