Nighttime Resurfacing along Route 322 in Southington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 322 in Southington beginning Wednesday, May 6, 2020. 

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.26 mile segment of Route 322 from the access to eastbound I-84 to the underpass of Route 10 (Cheshire Road) in Southington. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 to Friday, May 8, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, May 10, 2020 to Friday, May 15, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2019 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 322 from the access to eastbound I-84 to the underpass of Route 10 (Cheshire Road) in Southington.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday).

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
