Resurfacing Project on Route 80 in North Branford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 80 in North Branford beginning Sunday, May 17, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.67 miles of Route 80 in North Branford.  This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, May 17, 2020 through Tuesday, June 2, 2020.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 17, 2020 through Thursday, May 21, 2020.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 through Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 80 from .01 mile west of Chapel Street to the Guilford Town Line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
