CTDOT eAlert: Construction News from the Connecticut Department of Transportation
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 7 northbound and southbound in Norwalk beginning Monday, May 18, 2020.
The project consists of bridge deck repairs to Bridge # 3569 A&B over US Route 1 (Belden Ave.) in Norwalk. This project is scheduled to occur the morning of Monday, May 18, 2020 to the afternoon of Friday, May 29, 2020.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 bridge maintenance program, the work will performed by Hammonasset Construction LLC.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00pm (Monday – Friday, days, no weekends). Motorists can expect lane closures on Rte. #7 Northbound/Southbound between Exit 1 and Exit 2 in Norwalk. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
