Nighttime resurfacing along Route 106 and Route 124 in New Canaan

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime milling & resurfacing will be performed on Route 106 & Route 124 in New Canaan beginning Sunday night, August 9, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing of 1.35 miles of Route 106 and Route 124 in New Canaan. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday night August 9, 2020 through Friday August 21, 2020.

     This project is being performed by the Eversource Gas Company under an encroachment permit. 

       

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Routes 106 and 124 northbound and southbound from Farm Road to South Avenue, South Ave to Cherry Street, Cherry Street to Main Street, and Main Street to East Avenue.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday nights).

 Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather  delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
