CTDOT eAlert: Construction & Maintenance News from CTDOT
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that as part of its regular bridge maintenance project structural steel repairs will be performed at night on Interstate 95 Southbound, Bridge No. 00072 in Westport.
This project consists of the structural steel repairs, on Bridge No. 00072 on Interstate 95 Southbound in Westport. This work is scheduled to occur Tuesday, September 8, 2020 through Friday, October 2, 2020.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Bridge Maintenance Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect various lane closures on Interstate 95 Southbound between Exit 19 (Southport) and Exit 18 (Sherwood Is. Connector) in Westport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday night through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
