Resurfacing along Route 201 and Mystic Road in North Stonington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 201 and State Road 627 (Mystic Road) in North Stonington beginning Monday, July 20, 2020.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.19-mile segment of Route 201 and a 0.91-mile segment of SR 627 (Mystic Road) in North Stonington.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2020, through Friday, July 24, 2020.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, August 3, 2020, through Friday, August 7, 2020.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 201 from the Stonington Town Line to Route 2 and SR 627 (Mystic Road) from Route 201 to Route 2 in North Stonington.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
