Nighttime Resurfacing on Interstate 95 Ramps in Milford; Detour required

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on the Exit 34 and 35 ramps in I-95 Milford beginning Wednesday, July 29, 2020. A detour will be required.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.36 miles of Ramps on Interstate 95 in Milford.  This project is scheduled to occur Wednesday, July 29, 2020 through Tuesday, August 4, 2020.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 through Friday, July 31, 2020.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 2, 2020 through Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation's 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect closures on Exit 34 on/off ramps Northbound and Southbound, Exit 35 off ramp Northbound and Exit 35 on ramp Southbound.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

 

Detour Info:

 

For the Exit 34 Northbound and Southbound Closure:

  • Use Exit 35, South on Schoolhouse Road to Route 1

     

    For the Exit 35 Northbound Closure:

  • Use Exit 36, South on Plains Road to Route 1

 

The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
