The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 165 in Norwich/Preston and SR 605 (Shetucket Turnpike) in Preston beginning Monday, July 27, 2020.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.16-mile segment of Route 165 in Norwich/Preston and a
0.30-mile segment in Preston. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2020, through Friday, August 14, 2020. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, through Friday, August 21, 2020.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 165 from Route 2 to Route 164 in Norwich/Preston and SR 605 (Shetucket Turnpike) from Route 165 to Route 164 in Preston. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
